Planning with a Public Health Focus: Connecting the Dots in East Central Region of Wisconsin

This case study details how the East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission collaborated with local public health departments to integrate health into transportation planning. Through initiatives like Safe Routes to School, regional bicycle and pedestrian planning, and adoption of Complete Streets policies, they built long-term cross-sector partnerships that improved active transportation, addressed obesity, and advanced health equity.
