Martha Bonilla and her husband Felipe Villatoro both work for Harvard as a cook make roughly $120,000 each year, considerably more than the average $27,000 food service wage. Harvard removed incentives for outsourcing work and food-service workers receive the same benefits as university employees--including health insurance, pension, paid vacation, child care assistance, and reduced college tuition.
