Pandemic Intensified Longstanding Stresses for Hispanics

This blog post discusses insights gained about the affect of the coronavirus on Hispanic communities in the United States. These insights came from focus groups of community health workers embedded in Hispanic communities. Six mental health stressors for Hispanic communities during COVID-19, including economics, immigration, misinformation, and social isolation, were identified, in addition to four types of coping strategies (behavioral, cognitive, social support, and spirituality).
